The Dolphin Story takes us on an extraordinary journey into the dolphin world…..a series of remarkable stories of contact between humans and dolphins, a human/dolphin diary recorded in the wild and in dolphin research centres around the world.

The Dolphin Story explores dolphin biosonar and healing stories in Australia;
Early dolphin history at Delos and Delphi in Greece;
Indigenous dolphin history at Stradbroke Island Australia;
Dolphin healing, communication and stranding stories in the Florida Keys USA;
At Dolphin Discovery in Mexico we meet a new generation of dolphin trainers where 250,000 people swim with the dolphins every year.

Over the last 20 years, scientific research into the ‘intelligence and inner world’ of dolphins has revealed clear signs of an advanced self aware intelligence that has traditionally been thought to be unique to humans. This film sets out to give new insights into dolphin intelligence, creativity and self awareness.
