For students who are not already familiar with the classical myths, this program provides an informative and memorable introduction, lavishly illustrated with photographs, reproductions and original art. The program introduces the "senior" gods and goddesses and then focuses on the "second generation" of Olympians: Athena, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Apollo, Ares, Hermes and Dionysus. It also recounts the stories of Arachne, Phaethon, Actaeon, Perseus and Medusa, King Midas, the judgment of Paris and the Trojan War, and the founding of Rome by Romulus and Remus. Film is divided into 2 parts.
