Pre-pointe students learn to strengthen their feet, ankles, and calves in a series of exercises using Therabands, scarves, and bottles. After receiving their first pointe shoes, they proceed to elementary barre work. Attention is given to injury prevention, building strength, choosing and preparing pointe shoes, and balance points.
