Anna Sokolow was a member of the Martha Graham company in the 1930's.  As she developed her own work she turned her attention to dances about social and historical concerns like industrial justice, juvenile delinquency, the glorification of war.
Anna Sokolow speaks about her long career as shown by footage of historical stills and film clips.

Directed by Lucille Rhodes and Margaret Murphy. The film contains rehearsal shots of her famous piece Rooms.
